Born in Osaka. Studied under Kiyomizu Rokubey the 6th and Kawai Seitoku. Awarded many prizes at Nitten, and is a friend of Nitten. He is a member of the Nitten. Invited to and served as a judge for the second, third, and honorable mention awards at the All Kansai Art Exhibition. Invited to and served as a judge at the Osaka Industrial Art Exhibition, where he received the Mayor’s Prize, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry President’s Prize, the Craft Association President’s Prize, and the Hiramatsu Prize. Received the Yatsuo City Cultural Award in 1975. Awarded by the Governor of Osaka Prefecture in 1977.
