Graduated from Nishio High School. Succeeded his father Shozo, the 1st generation to revive Nishio ware, in 1973. Held a father and son ceramic exhibition in 1978 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the start of the kiln. Served as the Nishio Folk Craft Association President. Created Hagi style Gohonte tea bowls.
