From Fukuoka Prefecture. Graduated from the Faculty of Art at Kyushu Sangyo University. After quitting office work, aimed to make ceramics and started the Omura Toen Shuko kiln in the area in 1979. Selected for the Seibu Craft Art Exhibition, West Japan Ceramic Craft Exhibition, and Japan Traditional Craft Art Exhibition and won awards. Works focus on Kohiki, inlay work, and Hai-yu ash glaze carbonization.
