She was the wife of Okuiso Eiroku, the master ceramicist of Mino ware. After his husband’s passing, she started making pottery together with their son, Okuiso Taigaku, and used the cellar kiln to try and make Shino ware, presenting their wares at parent-child exhibitions and individual exhibitions.
She mainly makes tea wares.
