Became an apprentice under Ogawa Tetsuo in Kumamoto in 1966. Studied under Kato Kobei and Takuo in 1968. Started Ikoitoge kiln in the area in 1972 and became independent. Selected for the Kumamoto Prefectural Exhibition and Kumanichi Overall Exhibition and won awards. Uses Hai-yu ash glaze, natural Shizen-yu glaze, and Yakishime.
