Eldest son of Ohira Seinosuke, who started the Bizenichi kiln in Honami. Graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics at Okayama Prefectural Bizen High School. Studied under his father and started making ceramics in 1969. Graduated from the Bizen Ceramic Center in 1976 and started a kiln. Selected for the Okayama Prefectural Exhibition, All Kansai Fine Art Exhibition, and other exhibitions. Sought Hidasuki with high clarity and coarse textures.
