He was born as the 2nd son of Ohi Chozaemon the 2nd, and inherited the family business. The 3rd’s branding stamp is different from his predecessors’ and uses a unique representation of Ohi, but he also preserved the works by the 2nd which were branded with oval-shaped branding stamps.
