Born in Kyoto. Studied under Kiyomizu Rokubey. Trained at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s Pottery Experiment Station and studied at the Enping Pottery Garden in Fengtian City, Manchuria. Awarded a prize at the Kyoto Industrial and Commercial Exhibition. Published “All About Pottery”. Member of the Japan Kogei Association. Mainly working with gray glaze.
