Born in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture. Studied under Watanabe Rokuro. Solo exhibitions include Ginza Matsuya and others. He has a first-class for potter’s wheel technique, and his teapots and earthenware vessels are well known for their ease of use. He has been working on scorched surface coloring and celadon porcelain.
