1898–1979
In the year 1940, he joined Kitaoji Rosanjin’s research lab. Skillfully incorporating brush mark techniques, he established his own style of pottery. In 1972, he won the CBC Cultural Award, and was designated as Aichi’s Intangible Cultural Property in 1975.
