He established his kiln in Fukushima’s Obori. Later, he moved to Soma and rebranded his wares to “Soma ware”.
During the Hoei era, he had 106 kilns. He drew pictures of horses on the teabowls and delivered them to be sold in the Kanto region. Later, in the Bunka era, he invited Kondo Tokichiro from Kyoto to learn and make even more sophisticated wares.
