Born in Mie Prefecture. Completed the prefectural pottery school. Studied under Hineno Sakuzo at Sanagai Pottery School in Iga. Later, studied under Arakawa Toyozo in Mino. Selected for many Nitten awards and is a friend of the Society. Formerly a member and judge of Shin-Kogei. Awarded the Honorable Mention by the Yamaguchi Prefectural Association for the Promotion of Arts and Letters, among others. Mainly produces tea bowls and ceramic walls in the Hagihagi white glaze, Kohiki-te, and Iga style.
