Born in Kyoto. Graduated from the Kyoto Ceramic Art Training Institute. Under the tutelage of Nishikawa Minoru. Set up his own kiln in 1976. Worked at the Kyoto Art & Crafts Council and the Japan New Crafts Association. Received awards at the Kyo-Ten, Kobi-Ten, Japan New Crafts Exhibition, Japan Exhibition among others. He held a solo exhibition at the Kyoto Demon Gallery. Exhibited at the Open Tomorrow Japan New Crafts Exhibition at the Hakone Open-Air Museum. His works are mainly in blue, green and washi paper patterns.
