From Okawa, Kagawa Prefecture. Studied under Okamoto Kinzo. Trained at Tobe Umeno Pottery Center from 1960. Set up a kiln independently there in 1974. Won the Kagawa Prefecture Governor’s Prize with his first sculpted work. Won the Japan New Crafts Exhibition Prize. Selected for the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition and the Prefectural Exhibition. Held his first solo exhibition in the Commerce and Industry Museum in Ritsurin Park in Takamatsu. Focuses on refining inlay work.
