From Aikawa, Sado. Started pursuing pottery in 1936. Studied under Miyanohara Ken at Niigata Toen Pottery. Set up a kiln independently in 1945. Has held solo exhibitions at Niigata Kobayashi Department Store, Daiwa, Ginza Shiseido G, etc. Had his works exhibited at the Aikawa Public Hall 30th Anniversary Exhibition and the Sado Public Hall 40th and 45th Anniversary Exhibitions. Focuses on underglaze red, celadon porcelain, and Sado Karatsu ware.
