Studied under his father Toroku, who worked at the Gifu Ceramics Research Institute. Built a kiln in 1964. Uses Oribe-style techniques and focuses on tea bowls. Has held solo exhibitions at Osaka Central G, Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi and elsewhere.
