Born at a pottery in Aizu Hongo, Kyoto. Graduated from Kyoto Saga university of arts and Sciences and apprenticed at Denishi Pottery in Shimane Prefecture from 1977. Awarded the Honorable Mention at the Japan Mingeikan Exhibition and other prizes. Selected for the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition and other exhibitions. Mainly works with amber, white, iron and ash glaze.
