Born in Kyoto. Graduated from Kyoto Art University. Nitten Special Prize, Juror, Member. Awarded the Minister of Foreign Affairs Prize at the Contemporary Craft Exhibition. Lecturer in ceramics at the University of Chicago. Served as a judge at Chunichi International Ceramic Art Exhibition. Solo exhibitions around the world. Member of the International Academy of Ceramics.
