He opened Ushukubi kiln in Onojo, Fukuoka Prefecture, and has been making tea ceremony pottery for 50 years. Mainly using tapping, coiling and embossing. While living a simple life in the mountains, he does not seek honor, and works to revive Yohen Tenmoku tea bowl.
