Born in Sapporo City. Studied under Tokuzawa Moritoshi , Karatsu ware master from 1975. He built Tenjinmori kiln in Takefushi, Fukui Prefecture. In the following year, he built a sectioned bamboo style kiln. He aims to create Echizen Karatsu ware, one of the six old medieval kilns, fired in the sectioned bamboo style kiln using the new Karatsu ceramic technique. Selected for the 1st Japan New Craft Exhibition. Awarded a prize at the Modern Echizen Pottery Exhibition and the Prefectural New Artist Selection Exhibition. Solo exhibition at Yokohama Takashimaya. Group exhibition at Ikebukuro Seibu and Nihonbashi Takashimaya.
