From Fukuoka. Graduated from the Department of Ceramics at Arita Technical High School. Graduated from Kyushu Zokei Art College. Started a kiln in 1978 and became independent. Selected for the Fukuoka Municipal Exhibition, Prefectural Exhibition, Seibu Craft Art Exhibition, and West Japan Ceramic Craft Exhibition and won awards. Works focus on celadon, cinnabar, Kohiki, Zogan inlay work, Oribe ware, and Tenmoku.
