Son of Miyashita Zenju. Graduated from Kyoto Arts and Crafts University in 1964 and was selected for the Nitten Exhibition for the first time. Selected numerous times since then, won Special Selection, and became a Fellow Member. Studied under Kusube Yaichi. Judge for the Kyoten Exhibition and Prefectural Exhibition. Won the Japan Contemporary Craft Art Exhibition Foreign Minister’s Award. Won the Kyoto Craft Art New Artist Award. Won the Create Tomorrow New Craft Art Exhibition Grand Prize. Judge and member of the Japan New Craft Art Exhibition. Member of the International Ceramics Academy. Lecturer at Kyoto City University of Arts. Held private exhibitions at Green Gallery in Akasaka and other venues. Works focus on three-dimensional shapes.
