From Tokyo. Started learning painting from his father Miyahara Meiryo, a Japanese painter, around 1950. Graduated from the Faculty of Literature at Meiji University with a Major in French Literature in 1967. Studied abroad in France in 1974 to research paintings. After returning to Japan, studied under his brother-in-law Hara Kiyoshi and sought to make ceramics. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Art Exhibition for the first time in 1976 and selected numerous times since then. Official Member of the Japan Craft Art Society. Held private exhibitions at the Green Gallery in Minami Aoyama, the Iwataya in Fukuoka, and the Mitsukoshi in Nihombashi. Held a Higashinokai Ceramic Exhibition at the Green Gallery in Akasaka. Works focus on Ama-yu glaze with lime, Seihaku-yu glaze with oak ash, Jun ware, Karatsu ware, and celadon Shinogite.
