Born in Iwate Prefecture. Graduated from Musashino Art University. Studied under Kato Hajime and Kato Tatsumi. After working as a craft designer, he devoted himself to ceramics in 1969. Awarded the Mayor of Nagoya City Award in the Japan Ceramics Competition. Won a prize at the Japan New Craft Exhibition and others. Exhibition at Hamamatsu Seibu, Matsubishi Gallery, and Yokohama Yamaha G. Member of Japan Kogei Association. Lecturer at Tokoha Gakuen Junior College. Mainly painting on ceramic boards.
