From Mashiko. Real name is Takao. Graduated from Mashiko Ceramic Training School in 1938. After serving as a technician at the Department of Ceramics at Aomori Prefectural Industrial Experimental Institute, went to Thailand in 1945 and made ceramics in the suburbs of Bangkok. After returning to Japan, served as the Tochigi Prefectural Technical Officer of Ceramic Instruction and Instructor of Successor Training. Became independent in 1970. Selected for the Japan Traditional Craft Art Exhibition, Japan Ceramic Craft Exhibition, and other exhibitions and won awards. Certified as a Traditional Craftsperson in 1980.
