From Kagatomoto, Bizen. Graduated from the former Seto Agricultural High School. Later worked a local brick company and carpentry shop. Left work in 1976 and studied under Harada Togetsu, receiving training in the spinning lathe. Started a kiln in 1977 and became independent. Selected for the Traditional Craft Art Branch Exhibition and Okayama Prefectural Exhibition. Works focus on reddish purple glazes.
