Heir to the tradition of Takeo-Karatsu Kuromuta-ware ceramics introduced back in the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1568-1600) in kilns built by a group of émigré potters from Korea. Studied under his father Masami and Nakazato Shigetoshi. Certified at the Arita kiln. Selected for the Japan Folk Crafts Museum Exhibition and Seibu Crafts Exhibition. Member of the Takeo Ceramics Association. Primarily focused on kohiki, hakeme, Mishima inlay and ryukake ceramics.
