Graduated from Faculty of Engineering at Seikei University in 1978. Later studied under Nakajo Masayasu and Suzuki Yoshimi. Open the Sayamu kiln in Tokyo’s Nakano-ku in 1983 and went independent. Primarily focused on hand-twisted Tatara ceramic figurines and crafts.
