Born in Tokyo. Studied under Tomimoto Kenkichi. Experimented with raku (hand-molded earthenware) and Joseon dynasty-style ceramics, building a kiln in 1968. Produced teaware exclusively as authentic Shino-ware. Independent, primarily the focus of solo exhibitions.
