1954-malekyo potteryRokubey VIII was born in Kyoto in 1954 as the eldest son of the seventh generation. After graduating from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Waseda University in 1979, he studied pottery wheel at the Kyoto Prefectural Vocational Training School for Ceramic Art and glazing at the Kyoto Municipal Industrial Research Institute before starting his career as a potter.
