Established Oda ware in 1935. Started Hokuyodo kiln in a section of the ruins of one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan to succeed Bizen ware with traditional high-quality clay. Judge on the Prefectural Ceramic Museum Board. Won the Minister of Labor’s Award and other awards. Works focus on yakishime without any glazing and creates tea bowls and tableware.
