Kitagawa Hiroto 北川宏人

1967-
male

Kitagawa Hiroto was born in Shiga Prefecture.
After graduating from Kanazawa College of Art in 1989, he moved to Italy by himself, admiring Italian figurative sculptors of the time such as Marino Marini. After returning to Japan, he has consistently produced sculptures using terra cotta and has exhibited his works at museums and galleries in Japan and abroad. In recent years, he has participated in the collection exhibition of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, where he expresses the image of human beings living in the modern age by giving a sense of the primitive material of clay a vivid color with acrylic paints.
