Born in Kyoto. Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Ceramists’ Technical Institute before completing an advanced course at the Kyoto Municipal Institute of Industrial Technology and Culture. Later studied under Kimura Morikazu. Built a kiln in Echizen Pottery Village. Selected for the Japan Kogei Association (Kinki Branch) Exhibition and Japan Traditional Kogei Exhibition. Solo exhibitions at Fukui Fine Arts Museum, Matsuya Ginza and other locations. Primarily focused on tenmoku teaware.
