After graduating from high school, she studied under her father, Kimura Bifu, a ceramic artist. In 2003, she moved to the U.S. to broaden her experience as an artist, majoring in art at a community college, and returned to Japan in 2011 to pursue Bizen Pottery again. She is always striving to fuse traditional ceramics with modern design concepts.
