From Miyazaki Prefecture. Graduated from Musashino Art University. Studied under Kato Tatsumi. Moved on to craft design. Later gave ceramic instruction in India and became independent in 1971. Selected for the Japan New Craft Exhibition, Japanese Traditional Craft Art Exhibition, and other exhibitions. Works focus on porcelain, blue and white pottery, and overglaze. Official member of the Japan Craft Art Association.
