Graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts with a major in sculpting. His father was Kawamoto Goro, who was revered as one of the 3 greats of Seto ware. Studied under his father and made ceramics. Won the Asahi Ceramic Grand Prize. Won the Chunichi International Exhibition of Ceramic Arts Mayor’s Award, Grand Prize, Minister of Education’s Award, and other awards. Works focus on solids.
