From Nagoya. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts. Studied under Tomimoto Kenkichi. Worked at the Seto Satellite Office of the Nagoya Municipal Industrial Research Institute, studied abroad at the Basel School of Design in Switzerland, and gave instruction at a studio in Ireland. Became a Lecturer at Anjo Gakuen University in 1971, taught at Seto Ceramic High School, and became independent in 1975. Member of the Shinsho Craft Art Society.
