From Yokohama. Was attracted by Bizen ware and went to the Imbe kiln in 1974. Studied under Kaneshige Riuemon. Started an ascending kiln in 1982 and became independent. Selected for the Japanese Traditional Craft Art Exhibition, Chunichi International Exhibition of Ceramic Arts, and Chanoyu Zokei (Modern Tea Forms) Exhibition.
