He was born in Tokyo. Established Keiraku-gama kiln in 1948. Exhibited at the National Museum of History in Taipei more than ten times and received the museum’s permanent conservation and cultural service awards. He has received many awards. Awarded the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Distinguished Service Award for his many years of achievements at the Tokyo Traditional Crafts Exhibition. Permanent director of the Asia Society of Fine Arts. His works are mainly cinnabar and ceramic carving.
