Studied under Kato Kobei, Takuo, and Hirohide at Maruko Toen Studio. Became independent in 1984. Won the Asahi Ceramic Award, Mino Ceramic Society Chunichi Award, and Press’ Award. Selected for the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition, Chunichi International Exhibition of Ceramic Arts, Modern Craft Exhibition, Japan New Craft Art Exhibition, and other exhibitions. Held private exhibitions at the Seibu in Shibuya, the Maruei in Nagoya, and other venues. Works focus on blue and white pottery.
