His father, Shuntei first, was the third son of Sakusuke, who inherited the 24th generation of Seto’s prestigious family tree and became an independent branch of the family. He became Shuntei the second in 1961. Received the first Aichi Prefecture Art Award. Represented the prefecture at the Japan Expo. A judge of the prefectural exhibition. Served on the Asahi Ceramic Art Exhibition Steering Committee. Manager of the Tokai Branch of Traditional Craft. Regular member of the Nippon Kogei Association Presided over the Tripod Society.
