He took the name “Hakuzan”. He was certified as a traditional craftsman of Tokoname ware in 1979. Awarded the Honorable Mention at the National Folk Crafts Exhibition and the National Traditional Crafts Exhibition. He has participated in the Melbourne Centennial Exhibition and is a veteran potter who has introduced Japanese handicrafts to the world.
