From Saitama Prefecture. Graduated from Toyo University. Started a kiln in Toda and later trained at Okinawa Tsuboya and Mashiko. Became independent in Mashiko in 1974. Selected for the Traditional Craft Art Musashino Exhibition and Exhibition of New Works. Held private exhibitions at the Tobu in Ikebukuro, the Isetan in Shinjuku, and the Kuroda Toen in Ginza. Works focus on Ruri Gosu, iron red overglaze, and cinnabar.
