Studied under the previous generation Shogen the 1st (1925-1980). Selected for the Craft Art Exhibition, Modern Fine Art Exhibition, Japan Trade Union General Exhibition, and other exhibitions. Won the Asahi Newspaper Award and other awards. Member of the Japan Ceramic Society, Japan Fine Art Society, and Japan Craft Art Society. Board Member of Japan Craft Art Society Exhibition Operations. Judge of the Nitten Exhibition. President of the Kyushokai Association. Works focus on Kessho-yu glaze, Ronuki, and gold overglaze.
