Older brother to Kamoda Shoji. Made ceramics in a highly independent manner without contact with pottery associations, presenting his work mainly at solo exhibitions and public exhibitions such as the Japanese Ceramics Exhibition. Died suddenly in 2001 in his mid-60s. Specialized in contemporary ceramics utilizing innovative modeling and geometric patterns, as well as high-fired unglazed ceramics.
