Born in Kaga. Focused primarily on Kutani-ware. Regular member of the Japan Kogei Association. Studied pottery making at the Kiyomizu-ware Dohachi kiln and studied Japanese painting under Mizuta Takeshi. First selected for the 7th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 1960, followed by many more exhibition selections.
