Graduated from the Kyoto Ceramic Training Institute. Later became an instructor at the institute. Left the institute in 1977 and later focused on making ceramics. Selected for the Japanese Traditional Craft Art Exhibition and other exhibitions. Held private exhibitions at Osaka Central Gallery, Kuroda Toen in Ginza, the Takashimaya in Kyoto, the Okumura Gallery in Tokyo, the Mitsukoshi in Nihombashi, the Nomura Art Museum in Kyoto, and other venues. Works focus on Tetsu-yu iron glaze and Tenmoku-yu glaze. Official member of the Japan Craft Art Association.
