Born in Kyoto. Completed his studies at Kyoto Ceramics Institute. Studied under Sawada Sozan and Kawamura Seizan. Founded his own kiln in 1962. Has held exhibitions at locations including Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi. Makes tea bowls with inka zougan, cinnabar, iron sand glaze, yakishime, ash glaze, etc.
