Born at Unzen National Park, and studied under her father Yasumine. In 1971, she traveled to the United States, where she spent three years as an exchange student. She later studied under Ishida Toshun in Tamba. Trained in pottery in India, Nepal, and Thailand. Has won awards at the West Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition and the Women’s Association of Ceramic Art Exhibition. Held a joint exhibition with her husband Teru at the Muraokaya Gallery, as well as father-daughter exhibitions.
