Born in Tokyo. In 1974, began training at the Hagi ware Tenchozan Kaneta kiln. He later studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before moving to Mashiko in 1980 and working at the Enokida Pottery Workshop. Founded his own independent kiln in 1981. Has been selected for the Traditional Craft New Works Exhibition and the North Kanto Art Exhibition.
